slide out with some gentle tapping on your palm if necessary.
Insert 2 fresh batteries under the 2 metal contact points/tongues
with the « + » side

TO ACTIVATE YOUR Dog e Alert!™ LOSS
PREVENTION DEVICE:
Once the collar's lights are turned on, you may choose to
activate the anti-loss device. (Note: In the case of our stand
alone Dog e Alert!™ device, simply turn
on the emitter.) Turn on the receiver’s red indicator
light by pushing the side switch downward to “N”
position and keep with you. Adjust the roller on the side of
the receiver upward to increase the desired range. Your anti-loss
receiver will buzz/vibrate when the dog has exceeded the allotted
distance.
For Search Mode, push receiver switch up to « S »
and it will beep if the collar is out of the desired range PLUS
when the receiver comes back within the desired range it will
beep + vibrate. To reset, simply touch the dog’s collar
with the receiver or turn to off position.
All or Some of Your
Dog e Lites™ Won't Light Up?
Are the batteries weak or dead? Try changing the batteries
to see the difference.
Could the product have been chewed? Even if there is no noticeable
hole, if it has been chewed even briefly the electronic components
may be damaged so that it will not operate correctly.
Are the batteries snug under the top 2 metal contact points?
If not sure, remove the batteries and adjust the contacts to
make a tighter fit.
Has the battery cover been reinstalled properly? If unsure,
gently retighten to ensure correct pressure on the batteries
for reliable operation. Over-rotation of the battery box cover
can cause problems with electronic connections.
Are some lights dimmer than other lights? This is normal as
the battery life progresses, since some LED colours draw more
power than others. This difference should however have minimal
impact on the lights' effectiveness and visibility at night,
and will disappear when fresh batteries are inserted.

Pet Loss Prevention Device
This Dog e Alert!™ loss-prevention device is
designed to warn of a wayward animal
(dog, cat, etc) or any mobile item and is effective up to approximately
25 yards / meters.
Instructions for Use
Attach the smaller transmitter portion to a pet collar

that the receiver has recognized the transmitter and is ready
to work.

the desired range. Your Dog e Alert!™ receiver will buzz/vibrate
when the animal has exceeded the allotted distance.
For Search Mode, push receiver switch up to «
S ». It will beep when the transmitter leaves
out of the desired range PLUS it will beep + vibrate when it
returns within the desired range. To reset, simply touch the
transmitter portion with the receiver or turn the receiver to

Dog e Alert!™ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As every Dog e Alert!™ loss-prevention device
is individually tested by our
manufacturers to ensure the lowest possible failure rate, please
find below some of the most
common pitfalls that can inhibit effective use and how to eliminate
them to obtain the results
you deserve:
WHAT CAN I DO IF MY
DOG E ALERT!™ JUST BEEPS ALL THE TIME?
Ensure the Transmitter is Turned On:
If the device beeps non-stop regardless of the range you set,
this may mean that the tiny switch on the transmitter is not
turned on. Please ensure that it is TURNED ON
before use. You can tell that the transmitter is turned on when
the tiny red light flashes. Both pieces must be turned on in
order for the device to work. The best way to proceed is to
turn on the transmitter first, and then the receiver.
Use the Correct Receiver Setting:
One possible source of confusion is the «
N » (normal) setting
versus the « S
» (search) setting. When turning on the receiver
in normal lossprevention mode, push the button downward to the
« N
» setting, and then use the dial to adjust the
range from lowest (downward) to highest (upward). If the receiver
button is pushed upward to search «
S » mode and the animal
is within the range, the device will beep non-stop to indicate
that it has found its’ target.
Enable the Transmitter – Receiver Handshake:
Once you have turned both portions of
the device on, it is important that the two pieces be placed near each other to enable a
recognition handshake, which enables the transmitter to identify its target (the receiver). You
will hear this handshake in the form of a double beep when you first put them together (after
which beeping stops), which confirms that they are in synch and ready to work. This
handshake is necessary for the device to work correctly.
Check for Absent or Dead Batteries:
The transmitter includes a CR2032 battery and the receiver
requires a AAA battery (not included) that
must be inserted before the device will work. If after a while
the device starts to act “flakey”, this could mean a weakening
battery in either portion. If the transmitter battery is the
culprit, the red light will have stopped flashing indicating
a loss of power. To learn if the receiver battery is the culprit,
replace the AAA battery and test for different results. Ensure
correct battery insertion in both cases.
HOW CAN I MANAGE OR
IMPROVE VARIABLE DISTANCE WARNINGS?
Variable Distance Warnings:
All distance estimates are approximate and will vary. As the
device’s antenna is embedded within the transmitter loop, the
straighter the loop hangs, the better the range. The device
is effective up to a maximum of 25 meters / 75 feet
or less, and will vary somewhat in each environment based on
a number of factors, including the nature and composition of
items between the device and your pet (ie: walls, trees, structures,
etc), other radio-frequencies active in the immediate area,
humidity level, etc. Please keep in mind that Dog e Alert!™
is a simple technology, at significantly lower cost and complexity
compared with other pet locator solutions such as GPS. Correctly
used, it offers substantial value at a reasonable cost.
If after eliminating each of the above possible causes of the
problem, you believe your Dog e
Alert!™ unit to be defective, we will be happy
to exchange it or issue you a full credit upon
receipt of the unit. For further questions or inquiries, please
